Animal farm tools
In the last lesson, we learnt about crop farm tools. We learnt about the meaning of farm tools. That they are handheld tools used in the farm. They could either be crop farm tools: that is those used in plant farming or animal farm tools, that is those used in animal farming. Animal farming is involved with raising animals for meat, fibre, milk, eggs, or other products. Examples of animal farming include raising birds, rearing pigs, goats, cattle, fish farming etc.
Activity
- Identify any animal farm in the area.
- What type of animals are grown there?
- Name other products that can be obtained from the animal grown in the farm,
Examples of some animal farm tools are
- Fishing nets
- Traps
- Hook and line
- Basket
- Watering troughs
- Feeding troughs, etc
General evaluation
- What are animal farm tools?
- Mention five animal farm tools.
Weekend assignment
- Make a drawing of five animal farm tools
