Care of the kitchen and dining room:

It requires daily and weekly cleaning – removal of cobwebs, sweeping, dusting, and washing with soap and clean water the kitchen utensils and equipment.

Daily cleaning/care of kitchen

1. Open the windows to air the kitchen
2. Sweep down cobwebs and dusts from ceilings and walls
3. Sweep the floor
4. Wash any dirty plates and utensils
5. Clean the sink, draining board and the wall around it
6. Wipe the stove or cooker
7. Dust other surfaces in the kitchen Mop the floor
8. Arrange the utensils
9. Empty the dust bin or waste basket
10. Sweep out the inside of the bin or basket using a stiff broom or brush
11. Clean the broom or brush and put away properly.

Weekly cleaning/care of kitchen

1. Open the windows to air the kitchen
2. Take out the kitchen tables, chairs, pots, pans, etc. Clean each utensil according to type.
3. Sweep down cobwebs and dusts from ceilings and walls
4. Sweep out the food store
5. Scrub the storage shelves and cupboard or cabinet thoroughly. Leave to dry.
6. Clean the cooker or stove thoroughly.
7. Clean the refrigerator/freezer if available
8. Clean the sink, draining board and the wall around it
9. Scrub the floor according to type
10. Line the shelves with old newspapers
11. Bring in the furniture and utensils. Arrange them properly.
12. Dispose of refuse properly
13. Scrub the dust bin or basket using a stiff broom or brush
14. Clean the broom or brush and put away properly.

 

Daily cleaning/care of dining room

1. Open the windows and sweep the floor. Reach all corners under the furniture
2. Clean the table with a clean piece of cloth wrung out in warm soapy water
3. Dust the chairs and other piece of furniture
4. Put fresh flowers
5. Clean the table and remove all plates immediately after meals
6. Clean the table mat and put them away
7. Sweep off all pieces of food on the floor after meal
8. Arrange all the chairs properly

Weekly care/cleaning of the dining room

1. Open the doors and windows to air the room.
2. Remove curtains, table clothes, and cushion covers. Wash them if they are dirty. Otherwise air them properly.
3. Take all small pieces of furniture outside, clean each according to type.
4. Take out the floor covering and remove dirt,
5. Remove larger pieces of furniture from the wall.
6. Sweep down the ceiling, walls, doors, doors to remove dust and cobwebs. Pay attention to the ceiling fan
7. Remove and clean all pictures and wall ornaments.
8. Clean the window according to type.
9. Clean and polish larger pieces of furniture in the room.
10. Clean the floor according to type.
11. Lay the floor covering when the floor is properly dry.
12. Replace all the pieces of furniture neatly.
13. Hang the curtains neatly if they were washed, remember to iron them properly.
14. Clean the flower vase according to type. Put in fresh flower and water.
