In today’s English class, we will be learning about the features of informal letters.
In our last class we learned that a formal letter is a letter that is usually strict and formal. As you can guess, informal letters does not consist of rules and formalities. Sometimes, you can even find people breaking the rules while writing an informal letter.
An informal letter can be written to relatives or friends, but also to anyone with whom you have a non-professional relationship.
Features Of Informal Letter
When writing an informal letter, the following features must be adopted:
Sender’s Address
Date
Greeting/Salutation
Introduction
Body Of The Letter
Conclusion
Signature
Evaluation

Reading Assignment
Collect and compare two samples of letters written to different relatives.
Weekend Assignment
Write a letter to your Uncle telling him about your last examination performance.
In summary, this letter can be written to relatives or friends, but also to anyone with whom you have a non-professional relationship.
