Welcome to class!

Measurement | recording measurements

Hello again, my wonderful friends!  Today, we’re going to continue our journey into the world of measurement. But this time, we’ll learn how to record our measurements. Get ready to be measurement masters!

Why Record Measurements?

Why Record Measurements?

Okay, so we know how to use our magic ruler to measure things, but why do we need to record them? Imagine you’re a detective, and you found a treasure map. You measure the steps to the treasure, but if you don’t write them down, you might forget, right? Recording measurements is like making treasure maps for future adventures!

Imagine you have a beautiful garden . You want to know how much it rains, so you use a rain gauge. This is a special tool to measure how much rain falls. After it rains, you don’t just look at the gauge and say, “It rained.” No! You write down the number to remember how much rain there was.

Why Record Measurements?

Let’s see more examples. Think about your height. You can measure it with your magic ruler, and your grown-ups can write it down on a special growth chart. That way, you can see how much you’ve grown over time!

Classwork Time

Time for another exciting activity! This time, measure the temperature. Ask a grown-up for a thermometer, and write down how hot or cold it is every day for a week. You’ll see, recording measurements is like creating a weather diary!

In today’s class, we learned that recording measurements is like making treasure maps. It helps us remember important information, like how much it rains or how tall we are. It’s like keeping a diary of our measurements!

Evaluation

Alright, my clever learners, here’s a question: Why do we need to record measurements? Can you give me an example of something you can measure and record? Think about it and share your answers with me next time!

We have come to the end of today’s class. I hope you enjoyed the class!

In the next class, we shall be discussing Measurement | recording weight and mass.
