INTRODUCTION

In this topic, we are going to learn the meaning of heat and temperature. The difference between heat and temperature, the instrument used to measure temperature which is called the thermometer and the various types of thermometer.

 

WHAT IS HEAT

Heat is a form of energy that is transferred from one body to another because of the difference in temperature.

 

WHAT IS TEMPERATURE?

Temperature is the measure of how hot or cold something is and it is also the amount of heat in something. It is measured with a thermometer. For example, we can say that boiling water is hotter than a bowl of ice cream but the actual difference in their temperature can only be accurately measured with the help of a thermometer.

 

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HEAT AND TEMPERATURE

 Heat flows from one body to another temperature is a quantity that shows whether there is heat or not and what direction it will flow

 

In the transmission of heat, the total amount of heat remains the same In temperature it does not remain the same.
