The capacity of a container tells the highest quantity of liquid it can hold or contain. Some containers can hold or container more than others.

 

Containers that can hold substances like water, sugar, salt, beverages, matches, paint, soap, perfume etc are called 3-dimensional shaped objects. Examples are:
