Welcome to class.
Dye is a natural substance used to add a color or change the color of something. Dye is produced through a specific process from plant, tree barks, roots, leaves and fruit.
MATERIALS NEEDED FOR MAKING DYE PRODUCTION
- Barks: Black and red colour is derived from it.
- Leaf: Violet and green colour is derved from it.
- Fruit: Dirty brown and orange colour is derived from it.
PROCESS IN DYE PRODUCTION
STEP 1: Wash cloth to get it free from dirt or use a pure cotton maternal.
STEP 2: The form fold the fabric into a pattern such as clumping, knotting, pleating, twishing.
STEP 3: Prepare a basin with water and pour the dye solution, stir with stick and put the fabric inside
STEP 4: Remove the fabric and allow drying after which, it is ironed to remove the create.
