Ways of cultural preservation
Culture is what gives identity to a person. It is the total way of life of a group of people. It changes from time to time. It is therefore necessary to preserve our culture.
There are different ways to preserve our culture
They are:
- Festivals: Festivals such as New Yam festival among the Igbos, Argungun Fishing festival in Kebbi state, Eyo festival in Lagos state, among others helps to preserve our culture because their rituals events and customs reminds us what our ancestors practiced and believed.
- Fashion: Clothes helps to identify an individual from being from a particular place.
- Good maintenance of ancient buildings and monuments.
- Making our cultural sites and festivals tourist attraction.
- Keeping our arts and artifacts in the museum.
