Have you ever watched your mom or dad boil water for noodles or pasta? That’s boiling! It’s a way to cook food using hot, bubbling water.
What is Boiling?
Boiling is when we heat water until it bubbles rapidly and turns into steam. This hot water can be used to cook many foods.
Why is Boiling Important?
Boiling is a great way to cook food because:
- It’s easy: All you need is a pot of water and a stove.
- It’s fast: Boiling water can cook food quickly.
- It’s healthy: Boiling doesn’t add extra fat or oil to your food.
How to Boil Food
- Fill a pot with water: Make sure there’s enough water to cover the food you want to cook.
- Heat the water: Turn on the stove and heat the water until it starts to bubble.
- Add the food: Carefully add the food to the boiling water.
- Cook the food: Cook the food until it’s tender. The time it takes will depend on the type of food.
- Drain the water: Once the food is cooked, use a colander to drain the water.
