Swimming

Hi. Welcome to class.

Definition of swimming

Swimming is the movement of the body through the water. Swimming is defined as using your arms and legs to move through water. Breathing is a very important part of swimming.

It will take a while for the pupils to learn the skills but just being confident about putting their faces in the water is a start. They can start with blowing bubbles and then going down a bit with bent knees and putting their heads in the water and blowing bubbles. When they are really confident, they can pick up things from the floor of the pool.
