Civilization and westernization have come with their attendant challenges. The world is changing rapidly and many things are creeping in as part of the signs of the end time. Places that used to be a haven for many people have suddenly become a place where they can not rely on for comfort and security. There is a lot of evil news that has been reported in the media. Many teenagers have become the burden to their parents due to their juvenile delinquency and a lot of unheard atrocities that have been perpetrated by these youngsters.

While sociologists and many other social scientists are concerned about the rapidly changing nature of family life, economy and society. Christians are not expected to be caught unaware as the scripture has provided the understanding that this will surely come as indicators of the end time.

Unfortunately, many Christians are responding to this as they are expected to. Although  Jesus had forewarned us that at that time many believers will lose their faith. They will turn against each other and hate each other.

How believers can respond to social vices

  1. Be good examples by living holy and righteous lives.
  2. Use it as an opportunity to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.
  3. Warn sinners about the wrath of God.

Witnessing Christ

It is very important that we arise to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone around us. Apostle Paul in his letter to the Romans stated that he is not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto Salvation to everyone who believes to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Evangelism is not an old strategy it is very relevant in this current age that is characterized by a lot of evil.

Jesus Christ instructs us to go out to make disciples of Nations. This is what many theologians have agreed to term it as the “great commission”

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Matthew 28:19-20

In evangelism no one should be left out, everyone should be covered.

Ways to evangelize

  1. Lifestyle preaching
  2. Outdoor preaching or street preaching
  3. Door-to-door preaching.
