The Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology (FCAHPT), Vom in affiliation with the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi (ATBU) invites application from suitably qualified candidates for admission.
FCAHPT Vom an affiliate with ATBU Bauchi state offers PGD in the following programmes:
- Tech. Agricultural Science (Crop Production).
B.Tech. Agricultural Economics & Extension.
PGD in Agricultural Science (Animal Production).
PGD in Agricultural Science (Crop Production).
PGD in Agricultural Economics & Extension.
- GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
B.Tech. Agricultural Science (Agricultural Economics & Extension)
Basic O’Level requirement
SSCE/GCE/ O’ Level credit passes in five subjects including Mathematics and English, Chemistry, Agricultural Science/Biology, Geography/ Economics or Physics obtained at not more than two sittings.
Unified tertiary matriculation exam. (UTME).
Candidates seeking for admission through this mode should in addition to UTME, O’ Level requirement score a pass mark of at least 180 at the 2020 UTME conducted by JAMB. These must include English Language, Mathematics and two relevant subjects.
Direct entry (DE)
Candidates seeking for admission through this mode should in addition to O’ Level requirement possess two A’ Level in Chemistry and Agricultural Science /Biology, ND (or equivalent)/HND lower credit.
B.Tech. Agricultural Science (Animal Production)
Basic O’Level
Requirements
- Candidates must possess five (5) credit passes in five subjects including English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science or Biology and Geography or Economics or Physics in a maximum of two attempts at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations conducted by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) or National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB), Teachers’ College Grade II Certificate, WAEC Technical, City and Guilds, General Certificate Examination (GCE) at the ordinary level or its equivalent.
- Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
- Candidates seeking admission through this mode should in addition to the O’ Level requirements possess the following:
An acceptable pass mark of at least 180 at the 2020 UTME conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). These must include English Language, Mathematics, and two relevant subjects.
Direct Entry (DE)
Candidates seeking admission into FCAHPT Vom an affiliate with ATBU Bauchi state through this mode should in addition to the UTME O’ Level requirements possess either of the following:
Two GCE, A’ level credit passes in Chemistry and Agricultural Sciences or Biology.
Holders of OND/HND/ (or equivalent) can gain entry into 200 Level provided they have a minimum of Lower Credit grade.
IJMB passes at Credit level in relevant subjects.
- Tech. Agricultural Science (Crop Production)
Basic O’Level requirement
SSCE/GCE O’ Level credit passes in five subjects including Mathematics and English, Chemistry, Agricultural Science/Biology, Geography/ Economics or Physics obtained at not more than two sittings.

Graduates of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University or other recognized Universities with at least Third Class Honors Degree.
HND holders with a minimum of Lower Credit from recognised institutions.
PGD, Animal Production
Basic O’Level
Requirements
Candidates must possess five (5) credit passes in five subjects including English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science or Biology and Geography or Economics or Physics in a maximum of two attempts at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations conducted by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) or National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB), Teachers’ College Grade II Certificate, WAEC Technical, City and Guilds, General Certificate Examination (GCE) at the ordinary level or its equivalent. A Pre-NCE or Pre-ND credit pass in the relevant subjects are also acceptable.
Graduates of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University or other recognized Universities with at least Third Class Honours Degree.
HND holders with a minimum of Lower Credit from recognised institutions.
PGD, Agricultural Science (Crop Production)
Basic O’Level requirement
SSCE/GCE O’ Level credit passes in five subjects including Mathematics and English, Chemistry, Agricultural Science/Biology, Geography/ Economics or Physics obtained at not more than two sittings.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
Interested applicants should visit the college portal portal.fcahptvom.edu.ng/degree to complete the application form online.
Steps to complete the application form:
Create an account on the portal.
Generate RRR and make payment using your debit card or through any bank. The cost of application form is as indicated below:
Degree programme: Five thousand naira (N5, 000) only (including screening charges).
PGD programme: Ten thousand naira (N10, 000) only.
Go back to the portal through your account and complete all necessary forms and submit your application.
Printout the application form.
Ensure that the online form is carefully and correctly completed as corrections on personal information or change of course after completion of online application and submission will attract a fee.
It is mandatory for DE and PGD applicants to make an arrangement with their previous institutions to forward a hard copy of their Transcript to the Secretary, Directorate of Degree programme, Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology (FCAH&PT), P.M.B. 05, Vom, Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. No candidate will be considered for admission without a valid transcript.
All candidates for PGD must also print two copies of Referee Forms and return sealed copies of the forms with the application form.
PGD applicants without NYSC discharge or exemption certificate need NOT apply.
- CLOSING DATE FOR COMPLETION AND SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM
Candidates are expected to complete and submit the application form online and printout a copy of the application form and on or before the Friday 27th November, 2020. The printed application form, photocopy of your credentials, a copy of the receipt of the purchase of the form along with sealed referee forms (PGD Only) should be returned to the Secretary, Directorate of Degree programme, Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology (FCAH&PT), P.M.B. 05, Vom, Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria on or before Friday 27th November, 2020.
