His Activities
All excelled in both sword and pen. He was in scholar and orator. His sayings were proverbial thought and wisdom. He was known as the gate of Knowledge because of his learning wisdom and intelligence as a caliph he never allowed his officers to reglect their duties or to behave immorally. Ali took care of baitalmal (public treasury) and never allowed his family members to take from the baitul mal more than what they desired. He was very strict in the matter of public revenue and its administration. He was lend to the poor and to the non-Muslim.
ACHIEVEMENT OF ALI AS THE FOURTH CALIPH
The reign of ali as the fourth caliph witnessed a lot of civil wars and revolt, ali accepted to take the mantle of leadership of the Islamic empire in a critical period of Islamic history ali saved the Muslim community from total lapse due to the murder of uthman murder
He tried to unite the Muslim and bring them back to one platform
Due to series of revolt, Ali transferred the capital of Islam state from madnah to kafa
Ali subdued the rebellious act of talha and zubayr in the battle of camel otherwise known as jamal.
