Why do we care about preventing crime? Crimes hurt individuals, families, and communities. Preventing crime helps everyone feel safe and live peacefully.

The importance of values: Our religion and national values teach us right from wrong. These values guide us to make good choices and avoid actions that could lead to crime.

Common Crimes and Prevention Strategies:

  1. Theft (Stealing):

 Prevention:

Respect for Property: Our religion teaches us that taking things that aren’t ours is wrong.

Contentment: Be happy with what you have, rather than wanting what others have. 

 Honesty: Always be truthful and return lost items to their rightful owner.

Security Measures: Keep your belongings safe. Lock your doors, use padlocks for your bags, and avoid walking alone in isolated areas.

2. Bullying (Harassing or Intimidating Others):

 Prevention:

     Empathy and Kindness: Our religion teaches us to treat others the way we want to be treated.

     Respect for Differences: We are all unique. Embrace our differences instead of making fun of them.

3. Fighting (Physical Violence):

     Respect for Public Property: Take care of shared spaces like classrooms, parks, and community centers.

     Creativity: Find positive ways to express yourself through art, music, or other activities.

     Community Service: Get involved in projects that improve your community and show your respect for it.

     Report Vandalism: If you see someone damaging property, report it to an adult or the authorities.

5. Fraud (Tricking People to Gain Something):

 Prevention:

Honesty and Integrity: Our religion teaches us to be truthful and trustworthy in all our dealings.

Be Informed: Learn about common scams and how to avoid them.

Don’t Be Greedy: Avoid get-rich-quick schemes. They are often fraudulent.

Verify Information:  Be cautious of unsolicited offers and double-check information before giving out personal details or money.
