TOPIC: CLASSIFICATION OF SPECIFIC CROPS
In the last three lessons, we have been looking at various ways to classify crops. We learnt that to classify means to put into groups. We also learnt that different criteria can be used to classify objects. For crop plants, they can be classified according to;
- Their forms
- Their life spans
- Their uses
In this lesson, we will classify specific crops based on the three criteria listed above.
ACTIVITY
In your notepad, list the various groups that plants can be classified into based on these three criteria: forms, life span and uses.
Classification
Classify the following crops according to their form, uses and life span. Maize, Beans, Waterleaf, Soybeans, Cassava, pepper, onion, ginger rice, yam. Orange, mango.
