Welcome to another exciting class. Today, we’re going to learn about the proper way to clean and organize our homes, classrooms, and surroundings. Are you ready? Let’s get started!
Guidelines for Cleaning Your Home
Here’s how you should clean your home step by step:
- Dust before sweeping: Use a towel or dust cloth to wipe surfaces like tables, chairs, and windows. This way, all the dust falls on the floor, and you can sweep it up afterward.
- Sweep from the corners: When sweeping, always start from the corners and move toward the center. This helps gather all the dirt in one place for easy collection.
- Mop after sweeping: After sweeping, use a mop to clean the floor. Mix water with detergent in a bucket and use the mop to make the floor shine.
- Wash regularly: It’s important to wash clothes, beddings, and towels regularly. Dirty fabrics can carry germs, so keep them clean!
- Dispose of waste properly: Always put trash in the dustbin and take it out regularly. Don’t leave waste lying around because it can attract pests.
- Organize the room: After cleaning, put everything in its place. Books should go on the shelf, clothes in the wardrobe, and toys in the toy box. This helps keep the room tidy.
Processes of Cleaning Different Areas
- Dusting: Use a dust cloth or towel to wipe surfaces like tables and chairs. Make sure to remove dust from all corners.
- Sweeping: Start from the corners and sweep toward the center. Don’t forget to sweep under furniture and beds.
- Mopping: After sweeping, use a mop to clean the floor. Dip the mop in soapy water and clean the floor in sections.
- Scrubbing: Use a brush for tough spots in the bathroom or kitchen. It helps remove stains and dirt.
- Arranging: After cleaning, organize everything in its proper place to keep the room looking tidy.
Activity Time!
- Clean Your Room: Look around your room or classroom. Can you see anything that needs cleaning? Grab a broom or mop and start cleaning! Organize everything afterward to make your space neat and tidy.
- Sweep the Floor: Pick a section of your home or classroom, sweep it properly, and mop afterward. How does the space look now? Better, right?
Cleaning and organising your home and classroom isn’t difficult, and it’s very important. By following the proper steps—dusting, sweeping, mopping, and organising—we can keep our environment fresh and healthy. Remember, a clean home is a happy home!
