Steps for Making Stitches

• Step 2: Push the needle in and out of the fabric in a straight line.
• Step 3: Make sure your stitches are loose because you’ll remove them later.

2. Permanent Stitches (Backstitch)

Decorative stitches are used to make designs or patterns on fabrics.

• Step 2: Start by making an “X” shape with your stitches.
• Step 3: Continue making these “X” shapes to form a pattern.
• Step 4: Use different colors of thread to make your design more beautiful.

Decorative stitches are like adding beautiful drawings to your clothes with a needle and thread.
