Reasons for editing photos
- To manipulate part of an image independently.
- To remove an object from an image.
- Editing is used to merge two or three images to form one.
- To implement the different lighting techniques on an image for different purposes and functions.
- To retouch an image from black/white to colour or the other way- round.
Vector illustrations
These are set of digital illustrations created through a sequence of commands guided by the principles of design to place lines and shapes in a given 2 dimensional or 3- dimensional space. This illustration can be used to create logos, a simple drawing or complex diagrams. The digital art and design proficiency enable the artist or art student to create a single and multi-page layout.
The artist employs the use of layout tools such as grid tools, guides, margins, depending on the software in use to achieve a balanced layout in space text distribution. Artist employs various forms of research methods when planning a commissioned design project through data collection and analysis. The ability to multi-task in most cases becomes an added advantage for the artist.
