Pattern is a decorative arrangement or design used in an artwork. Most artist form their pattern by using the elements found in their environment. They also use pattern as decoration, as a technique of composition or as an entire piece of work.
ELEMENT USED TO FORM PATTERN
- Nature: Artist make use of nature object to form their pattern such as plant, shell, feathers, flowers, etc.
- Abstract: Patterns are generated through the drawing of abstract image that are imagine or conceived by an artist from object around.
- Imagination: An artist can imagine pattern to make design.
- Man-made objects: An artist can from pattern from objects made by man. object like hand fan, chair, basket, Etc.
- Existing pictures and drawing: These are pattern gotten from pictures and drawing. It can be new interpretation of this picture samples.
