Welcome to class.

Wood is a part of the truck and branches of a tree used as a material for construction.

TYPES OF WOOD

1. SOFT WOOD: it is white in colour. It is used in making drums and canoes.
2. HARD WOOD: it is red, brown and block in colour. It is used for building roof, houses, furniture like bed, chairs etc

EXAMPLES OF WOODS

1. Oak wood
2. Beech wood
3. Pine wood
4. Mahogany wood

TOOLS USED FOR CARVING WOOD

1. Chainsaw
2. Chisel
3. Axe
4. Band saw

USES OF WOOD

1. It is used for making furniture.
2. It is used for building houses
3. It is used for carving sculpture
4. It is used for tools and weapon
5. It is used for making paper
