Visual art is the art of making things. It is also the art form that creates works that are primarily visual in nature such as Ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture and craft. This art appeal to our sense of vision and our serve of touch. It is an art that can be seen and touched.

VISUAL ART MATERIALS AND THEIR USES

  1. Pencil: It is often used in drawing and shading. It is made of graphite and lead and it has different forms and grades such as soft pencil and hard pencil.
  2. Water Colour: it is light in texture and it is used on cardboard. They are produce in different forms and are package as paste in tubes and as tables in cases.
  3. Poster Colour: it is darker than water colour. They are parked in assorted colour. They are used on cardboard.
  4. Crayons: it is mostly used by children. It is produce in form of pencil or wax.
  5. Palette: It is a mixing board that is very important in drawing. It is used to mix colours.
  6. Brush: They are made from the hair of certain animals such as pig, sheep and horse. It is used for painting our drawing and pattern.
  7. Drawing Board: It is a flat wood used to support the drawing book or sketch pad when drawing or designing.
