Time is like a magical river that flows continuously. It’s what makes our days, nights, and all the moments in between. Imagine if there was no time; we wouldn’t know when to eat ice cream or go to sleep! Time helps us organize our lives.

How Do We Measure Time?

How Do We Measure Time?

We have special tools to measure time, like clocks and watches. They have hands or digital numbers that move, showing us how much time has passed. There are 60 tiny minutes in 1 hour, 24 hours in 1 day, and 7 days in 1 week. Can you believe it?

The Day’s Journey

The Day's Journey

Let’s take a look at our day. When you wake up, you check the time to see if it’s time for breakfast or school. At school, we have class for a certain number of hours. Then it’s time to play and learn with friends!

The Day's Journey

We use time for so many things. When you bake cookies, the recipe tells you how long to bake them. When you watch your favorite TV show, you know what time it starts. Time helps us plan and enjoy our day!

Classwork

Here’s a fun task: ask a grown-up to show you a clock or watch, and learn to read the time. Try to set a timer for a mini adventure, like reading a book for 15 minutes or playing a game for 20 minutes. Time flies when you’re having fun!

In today’s class, we’ve learned that time is a magical river that helps us organize our day. We use clocks and watches to measure time, and it’s essential for everything we do!

Evaluation

Here’s a question: Why is it important to measure time? Can you think of some moments in your day when knowing the time is helpful?

Assignment

Your mission is to keep a time diary for a day. Write down the time you do different activities like waking up, eating lunch, or going to bed. It will be a fantastic journey through your day’s time!
