Plants | Observing the Features

Welcome to class!

In today’s class, we’re embarking on a green adventure into the world of plants. Plants are incredible living beings, and each one has its unique features and secrets waiting to be discovered.

Plants | Observing the Features

Plants have several features that make them special:

Leaves: Most plants have leaves that come in various shapes, sizes, and colors. Leaves are like solar panels, capturing sunlight for energy through a process called photosynthesis.

Stems: Stems give plants structure and support. They also transport water and nutrients from the roots to the rest of the plant.

Roots: Roots anchor the plant in the soil and absorb water and nutrients. Some roots are big and visible, while others are tiny and hidden.

Flowers: Not all plants have flowers, but when they do, they come in a stunning array of colors and shapes. Flowers are how many plants reproduce by making seeds.

Fruits: After a flower is pollinated, it often turns into a fruit. Fruits can be juicy, sweet, sour, or even spiky! They protect seeds and help plants spread them.

Seeds: Seeds are like plant babies. They contain all the information and nutrients needed for a new plant to grow.

In today’s class, we’ve learned that plants have fascinating features like leaves for photosynthesis, stems for support, roots for absorbing nutrients, and flowers and fruits for reproduction.
