Issues And Challenges in Physical Health Education

Physical Health Education is the process by which the general well-being of an individual is improved upon through active participation in physical activities, sports and games.

It is also the process by which changes in an individual are brought about through movement experiences. It aims not only at physical development but also concerned with education  of the whole person through some well planned physical activities.

Physical education is also a part of general education which helps to develop the body. It also enhances total fitness, growth and all round development of the body through selected physical activities.

This is the practice of playing games of chance or betting in the hope of winning money. Gambling is one of the most common of human problems, as it presents the illusion of easy money yet can quickly lead to financial ruin. The odds are never in your favor whether it is poker, blackjack or anything else; gambling is a successful industry because the house always wins. Read on to find out about the symptoms, causes and effects of gambling addiction.

  • Drug abuse

drug abuse

Drug abuse or addiction is a chronic, often relapsing brain disease that causes compulsive drug seeking and use, despite harmful consequences to the drug addict and those around them. Drug addiction is a brain disease because the abuse of drugs leads to changes in the structure and function of the brain. Although it is true that for most people the initial decision to take drugs is voluntary, over time the changes in the brain caused by repeated drug abuse can impair a person’s self-control and ability to make sound decisions, and at the same time create an intense impulse to take drugs.

It is because of these changes in the brain that it is so challenging for a person to stop abusing drugs. Fortunately, there are treatments that help people to counteract addiction’s powerful disruptive effects and regain control of their lives. Research shows that combining addiction treatment medication, when appropriate; with behavioral therapy is the best way to ensure success for most patients. Treatment approaches that are tailored to each patient’s drug abuse patterns and any concurrent medical, psychiatric, and social problems can help achieve sustained recovery and a life without drugs.

In summary, as with other chronic diseases, such as diabetes, asthma, or heart disease, drug addiction can be managed effectively.
