Land cultivation is the preparation of land to grow crops especially on a large scale. It involves plowing, sowing and raising crops.
METHOD OF CULTIVATION OF LAND
- EXTENSIVE CULTIVATION: Is when farmers use old method of cultivation on the farm such as hoe, cutlass.
- INTENSIVE CULIVATION: Is the use of improved method of cultivation such as fertilizer, modern tools.
HOW TO PREPARE AND CULTIVATE LAND
- Prepare the soil for crops.
- Tilling the land.
- Install fencing.
- Level the field.
EVALUATION: Mention one of the method of preparing and cultivating land.
