Welcome to class.

ICT means Information and communication technology. It is more broad when compared to just Information technology (IT). Information and communication technology includes products that store, transmit, duplicate, convert or receive information which electronic. Examples are Television, Radio, Phone, Internet service etc.

They all operate by using electricity from either main sockets or batteries. They make work very easy to and perform a particular function on some product design for such function. For example, a Photocopy machine is design to make photocopies of papers and not used to call. Same goes to other technology products.

Information and communication gadgets are device used to transmit and receive information which allows communication easy between people, company or organization.

Works, Schools, Churches, Mosques, Home and every other places all needs ICT gadgets. Hence, it is not far from you.

Other examples are:

1. Television
2. Radio
3. Mobile phone
4. Laptop
5. Photocopy machine
6. Remote control
7. Photocopy machine or Fax and many more.
