Dining room: This is one of the functional areas of the home where the family members eat their meals. We serve and eat our food in the dining room. It could be a separate room or part of the sitting room.
Kitchen: This one of the functional areas of the home used as centre for food storage, preparation, and service. We cook our meals in the kitchen as well as washing the utensils and serving food.
Bathroom: It is a room for personal hygiene activities. We bathe in the bathroom. It can also be used for laundry (where we wash our clothes). In most modern buildings, bathroom and the toilet are part of the main house. Also, in some houses, the bathroom and toilet are together in a room. That is, they are not separate.
Toilet: This is the functional room in the house where we pass out waste (excreta) from the body.
Store: This is the functional room in the house for keeping food stuffs e.g. Beans, Yams, Rice, yam-flour etc. We collect and keep things for future use in the store.
