Welcome to class!
In today’s class, we’re going to dive into some important rules for swimming. These rules help keep us safe and have a splashing good time in the water!
Swimming – Basic rules in swimming
- Always Listen to Lifeguards:
When we’re at the pool or beach, we should listen to lifeguards or grown-ups. They keep us safe and tell us when it’s okay to swim.
- No Running Near the Pool:
We never run near the pool’s edge because it can be slippery. We walk slowly and carefully.
- No Diving in Shallow Water:
We should only dive in areas that are deep enough, like the deep end of the pool. No diving in the shallow water!
- Stay in Designated Areas:
We swim only in the places where it’s allowed. If there are ropes or markers, we stay inside them.
- Swim with a Buddy:
It’s more fun and safer to swim with a friend or family member. We can look out for each other!
- No Pushing or Rough Play:
We don’t push or play roughly in the water. We want everyone to have a good time without accidents.
- Always Use Floatation Devices:
If we’re learning to swim or not very confident yet, we can use floaties or life jackets to help us stay afloat.
- Know Your Limits:
We should never try to swim too far from the shore or the edge of the pool. Stay where you feel comfortable.
- No Horseplay Near Water:
Jumping or playing around near the water’s edge can be dangerous. We should save the fun for the designated swimming areas.
- Exit the Water During Thunderstorms:
If we hear thunder or see lightning, it’s time to get out of the water. We’ll be safer on dry land!
These rules help us have an amazing time while staying safe in the water. Always remember, safety comes first!
