We all drink water, but sometimes we thirst for something beyond water. When that thirst arises, what do you satisfy it with?

Stay with me, as we learn.

Did you know that any drink you take, other than water, is called a beverage? Oh, yes!

So we define Beverages as a drink other than water. Beverages are further divided into ‘Alcoholic beverages’ and ‘Non-alcoholic’ beverages.

Examples of Beverages – Non-alcoholic Beverages

Non-alcoholic beverages refers to non-intoxication drinks or sweet carbonated drinks, which don’t have any liquor percentage or in other words yeast is not introduced to convert sugar into alcohol during the fermentation process.

Nonalcoholic beverages like soft drinks come in different varieties like chilled, hot, bottled, canned or open liquids.

The bottles or cans drinks are hygienically packed, and some examples include. aerated waters, mineral water, juices, squashes, syrups, smoothies, shakes etc. to be consumed as and when required.

Examples of Beverages – Alcoholic Beverages

Alcoholic Beverages are portable liquids which contain 1% to 75% of liquor. They are produced by the introduction of yeast for fermentation into substances such as Grapes, Grains, Barley, Fruits, Sugarcane and Rice.
