In today’s class, we’re going to explore the causes of air pollution, so we can better understand what makes the air dirty.
Health and Hygiene – Causes of air pollution
- Cars and Trucks:
Cars and trucks that run on gasoline can create air pollution. They release smoke and fumes into the air.
- Factories:
Big factories that make things can also produce pollution. They release smoke and chemicals into the air.
- Smoking:
Smoking is not only harmful to our health, but it also adds to air pollution. The smoke from cigarettes is not good for the air.
- Burning Trash:
When we burn trash, it can create smoky air. That’s why it’s better to recycle or dispose of trash properly.
- Deforestation:
Cutting down too many trees, which is called deforestation, can also harm the air. Trees help keep the air clean.
- Chemicals:
Sometimes, chemicals we use in our homes or on farms can escape into the air and pollute it.
- Natural Causes:
Some air pollution is caused by natural events like wildfires and volcanic eruptions. While we can’t control these, we can help in other ways.
Knowing what causes air pollution helps us make better choices to keep the air clean and healthy for everyone and our planet.
By being aware of the causes of air pollution, we become air protectors and help the Earth breathe freely!
