Hello children, welcome back to class

Data is facts and information collected from different places or people to be used to make decisions.

ACTIVITY

• Go round your class or your neighbors, and collect the following information from your friends

1. i) their age
2. ii) their height

iii) their weight

1. iv) the month of their birth
2. v) their complexion.
3. vi) their state of origin

If you have these information about 3 – 5 of your friends, this action is called data collection

Depending on the type of data to be collected, different tools are needed and used for this activity.

The main tool needed for data collection is a writing material. Something to record the information as they come so we don’t lose them.
