Monitor – The Screen
Imagine a computer like a TV. The monitor is like the TV screen. It shows us all the fun things on the computer.
Keyboard – The Typing Friend
The keyboard is like a piano with buttons. We use it to type words and play games. Can you find the letters on a keyboard? A, B, C…
Mouse – The Clicky Helper
The mouse is like a small pet. We move it around, and it helps us click on things. It’s like magic! Click, click, click!
CPU – The Brain
The CPU is like the computer’s brain. It thinks really fast and tells the computer what to do. It’s super smart!
Speakers – The Sound Friends
Speakers are like the computer’s voice. They make sounds, like music and talking. It’s like having a mini concert!
Printer – The Drawing Machine
The printer is like an artist. It can draw pictures and words on paper. Sometimes, it’s like magic paper!
Today, we learned about parts of a computer, and what each part does.
Evaluation
Can you find these parts on a picture of a computer? Try pointing to the monitor, keyboard, mouse, CPU, speakers, and printer!
Homework:
When you get home, I want you to ask a grown-up to show you the different parts of their computer or laptop. You can even touch them gently. Be gentle, just like we’re gentle with our toys!
