Welcome to class!
In today’s class, we’re going to embark on a creative journey and learn how to draw a simplified representation of a GSM phone, one of our everyday ICT devices.
Common ICT Devices – Drawing a GSM phone
Steps to Draw a GSM Phone:
Step 1: Basic Shape
Begin by drawing a rectangle in the center of your paper or canvas. This rectangle represents the main body of the GSM phone. Make sure it’s proportionate and not too wide.
Step 2: Screen
Inside the rectangle, draw another smaller rectangle near the top. This is the phone’s screen. Leave some space at the top for the phone’s speaker.
Step 3: Buttons
Below the screen, draw a series of small rectangular buttons. These buttons can vary in size and number depending on the phone’s design. You can make them in a neat row or arrange them as you like.
Step 4: Speaker and Sensors
Above the screen, draw a small oval or circle. This represents the phone’s speaker. You can also add tiny dots or lines near the top for sensors like the proximity sensor or front camera.
Step 5: Home Button
At the bottom of the phone, draw a larger circular button. This is often the home button or navigation key on GSM phones.
Step 6: Details
Add small details like a camera lens on the back of the phone, volume buttons on the sides, and a charging port at the bottom.
Step 7: Shadows and Highlights
To make your drawing pop, you can add some shading by lightly coloring the sides of the phone and buttons. This gives your phone a three-dimensional look.
Step 8: Final Touches
Go over your drawing with a fine-tipped pen or marker to outline and emphasize the shapes and details. Erase any unnecessary lines or smudges.
Step 9: Color
If you’d like to add color, you can use colored pencils, crayons, or markers to bring your GSM phone drawing to life. You can choose the phone’s color based on your imagination.
Drawing a GSM phone allows you to appreciate the design and functionality of these devices while expressing your creativity on paper or canvas. Enjoy your artistic journey!
Evaluation
Share your GSM phone drawings with your friends or classmates. What features did you include? What colors did you use to make your phone unique?
We have come to the end of today’s class. I hope you enjoyed the class!
In the next class, we shall be discussing how to draw a calculator
