Classification Of Food Stuff           

Welcome to class.

There are three (3) classification of food group

  1. BODY BUILDING FOOD – these are food that help in building up the body. Example eggs, fish, meat, chicken, milk, bears and groundnuts
  2. ENERGY GIVING FOOD – these are foods that gives us energy. Examples are, grain, wheat, maize, guinea corn, yam, cassava, coconut, bread.
  3. Body Regulating and Protective Food – these are foods that protect the body against disease and regulate it as well examples are:

FRUIT – guava, mangoes, oranges, pawpaw

VEGETABLES – tomatoes, water leaf, cucumber
