Creating drama is the process of creating or developing a play from mere story script to a full stage performance.

PROCESS OF CREATING DRAMA

  1. Create a story line with any theme.
  2. Transform your story to a written script and identify each character with a name.
  3. Set an audition to get better characters.
  4. Cast the characters for the roles
  5. Source for crew members such as directors, producers, stage manager.

CONCEPT OF SCRIPT

It is written literature that contains name of characters environment, dialogue, appearance and states.

Staging requirement

  1. Stage or hall
  2. Characters
  3. Costumes and make-up

STAGES IN PRODUCTION

  1. PRE- PRODUCTION STAGE: This is the period of creating the script to the final rehearsal period.
  2. PRODUCTION PERIOD: This is the period when the real actual performance is going on stage.
  3. POST PRODUCTION: These are activities that come after the main performance.
