Welcome to class.

Drama is a piece of writing that is presented through dialogue and performed in front of an audience.

ELEMENT OF DRAMA

  • Theme: is the cultural idea that is stated through dialogue or action. It is the moral lesson the character learn. It is also the message the paly gives to the audience. For example, the theme of a play could be “True Friendship”
  • Plot: is the order of event occurring in a play, It is the story that the play narrates.
  • Character: is the actor or actress that form the play, each character in a play has a personality of its own and a set of principle and belief. They have the responsibility of bringing the character to life.
  • Dialogue: is the narration of the play to the audience through the interaction between the plays character.
  • Setting: is the time and place where story is set that is the era or time which the incident in the play takes place.

IMPORTANCE OF DRAMA

  1. It helps to develop listening skills.
  2. It helps to reduce stress
  3. It, helps to develop ability and skills.
  4. It helps to be creative.
  5. It helps to appreciate culture.
