We’ve had a remarkable journey from the First term to this moment. We are going to continue our journey into the world of Physical Health Education.
In today’s class, We will be discussing Non-Communicable Diseases. Enjoy the class!
Non-communicable diseases are diseases that cannot be transmitted from one person to another. They are non-infectious health conditions and last for a long period of time. They have many causes but are never caused by germs, bacteria or other living things that can attack the body.
Causes of Non-Communicable Diseases
Physiological failure of the tissues:
- Heart attack
Chemical or atomic fallout:
- Cough from smoke
- Stomach ulcer
Malnutrition or dietary imbalance:
Congenital or hereditary problem:
- Hare’s lip
- Crossed eyes
- Retarded brain
- Birthmark and other deformities.
Brain damage or emotional disturbances:
Prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases
- Regular exercises
- Avoiding unhealthy diets
- Avoiding harmful use of alcohol
- Avoid smoking
- Raising awareness about non-communicable diseases.
