Obedience

Hello. You are welcome to class.

In this lesson, you will be learning about Obedience.

Obedience is doing, or willing to do, what you have been told to do by someone in authority. It is always doing what you are told to do, or what the law, a rule, etc. says you must do. Obedience refers to any moral duty performed by someone complying with the rules or orders from those in authority.

It also helps you gain happiness and live a better life since whatever you are advised by your elders is really important for your future survival.

Obedience to Parents

Obedience to parents means that you are also loyal to God since He is your Father in heaven. To honour your parents, mean that you give them the respect and appreciate then for the good work they have done to raise you up as a child until you become an adult.

Children should also know that any adult is considered to be their parents and so they should remain obedient to any adult around them if they want a happy life.

The importance of obedience to parents comes with lots of benefits to you and the society in general.

It also defines the state of being loyal as well following whatever you are told to do by your elders.

Being loyal to Parents does not only mean that you respect your biological parents. This includes obedience to teachers plus every other elder around you.

Loyalty to parents is important since it is the key to dealing with any challenge that you may face as a young person.

Elders around you will always help you if you need them only when you are loyal to them.

This will also help you deal with bad events whenever you experience difficulties, problems, and issues which take their toll on you since the best advice comes from the elders that you are loyal to.

Importance of Obedience to Parents

Our parents are really important to us and we really need to appreciate their efforts. If we show them gratitude, we shall receive more from them in return.

Children should obey their parents because they have sacrificed their lives to protect them from childhood.

We should also respect our parent’s reason being that they have provided us with great necessities such as food, clothing, and shelter and above all, the life we have today is because they cared for us.

Our parents also love us dearly that is why they sacrifice time for us whenever we experience problems or anything that disturbs our minds.

Here are some reasons we need to honour our parents and apply them in our day to day life:

Obeying our dear parents gives us what we want in life from God. We will also be successful in life because we have God’s blessing in our lives.

Importance of obedience in the school

It is important to be obedient in school for you to prosper as a child in your exams and life in general.

At school, pupils and students are taught how to be obedient and respectful to their teachers and other individuals.

Teachers, as well as parents, give advice on how to stop behaviors that may be harmful to them and the society in general.

Some behaviors are not to be tolerated. Those include bullying, fighting, cheating in examinations, including refusing to do the teacher’s assignment.

By instilling obedience in children at school, success improves and the school’s image also improves in terms of discipline and hard work.
