Alright, imagine we’re sound detectives! 🕵️♂️ We’re going to listen closely to some sounds and see if we can tell them apart. Ready? Let’s go!
Today, we’re focusing on two sounds: /3/ and /^/. These sounds might seem tricky, but with a little practice, you’ll be a pro! Let’s play with words:
/3/ sounds like “burn.” Everyone, let’s say it together: “burn.” 🔥
/^/ sounds like “born.” Now it’s your turn: “born.” 🌟
Listen and Learn
We’re going to have a blast with words! Listen carefully as I say these pairs of words:
burn – born (Remember, /3/ and /^/)
firm – form (Say it with me: “firm-form.”)
perch – porch (Let’s try: “perch-porch.”)
Sentence Challenge:

Now, let’s explore more sounds! Think of a cozy spot and a fun sport:

Let’s imagine we’re at a game! Pretend to hit a ball and say, “spot.” Now, pretend to play another game and say, “sport.” Awesome job!
