The Senses

Welcome to class.

Sense organs are parts of the body that respond to changes in our immediate environment. It makes us sensitive and responsive to the changes that take place in our environment. A human body has five sense organs

The five senses organ in the body are:

  • The eye, which is the sense of sight
  • The ear, which is the sense of hearing
  • The nose, which is the sense of smell
  • The tongue, which is the sense of taste
  • The skin, which is the sense of touch.
Eye: The eye is for seeing
Ear: The ear is for hearing
Tongue: The tongue is for tasting
Nose: the nose is for smelling
This is the part of the Skin

The skin is for feeling. It covers the whole body

ACTIVITY I:

Match the sense organ with its function or use.

Sense organ Use or function
 

 

The nose is used for smelling objects

The skin which covers our hands is used for touching or feeling objects
The ear is used for hearing sounds
The tongue is used for tasing things
 

The eye is used for seeing objects.
