Disobedience can be defined as not respecting or obeying your parent, pastor, adult in general, and God. It is also a failure or refusal to obey rules and regulations or someone in authority.

Disobedience is very bad; it is a failure to carry out the will of God. Children are to obey and honour their parents. It is in the book of Eph 6:1-3. Children obey your parent this is the right thing to do because God has placed them in authority over you.

Honour your father and mother, this is the first of God’s commandment that ends with a promise for your days to belong.

Examples of those who disobey God

  1. Adam and Eve: God created Adam and Eve, put them in the garden of Eden. God commanded them not to eat the fruit of the good and evil but the serpent deceived them and they ate it. God drove them out of the garden.
  2. Saul: a holy war is a religious war declared by God against the enemies of Israel. God sent Samuel to tell Saul to go destroy the Amalekites without taking anything from the country but he took something. Saul captures Agag alive and kept the best cattle, sheep, and lambs. By so Saul disobeys instruction and God punished him.

Examples of disobedience against the law

  1. Introduction of pollution into the environment e.g., air, land, water, and noise pollution.
  2. Citizen involvement in robbers, kidnapping, and other crimes.
  3. Involving in exam malpractice
  4. Electoral malpractice
  5. Giving and taking bribes from people
  6. Manufacturing fakes drugs
  7. Hawking on the highways
  8. Hard drugs pushing
  9. Illegal importation of banned goods
  10. Child trafficking and force labour
  11. Failure in paying tax

Examples of disobedience against the school law

  1. Coming late to schools
  2. Wearing dirty uniforms and socks
  3. Eating during the period
  4. Staying outside when class is going on
  5. Making unnecessary noise when class is going on
