Corruption is the dishonest, illegal, or immoral behaviour especially from someone with power. It means to acquire what is not yours or to take advantage of your position to benefit yourself, family nor tribe unjustly.

 

  • Causes of corruption

The causes of corruption are as follows:

  1. Greed
  2. Unemployment
  3. Poverty
  4. Excessive love for money and material things
  5. Keeping bad company
  6. Self- centeredness

 

  • Ways of overcoming corruption

We can overcome corruption through the following ways

  1. Exercise discipline and self-control
  2. Prayer and fasting to deliver you from the act of corruption
  3. Always remember what the Bible says about corruption and obey it
  4. Be contented
  5. Avoid excessive love for money and material things.

  2. It is good to be contented with whatever we have
  3. Do away with lustfulness
  4. Pray and fast whenever you are tempted to act corruptly
