God is our heavenly Father. The Bible teaches that God is three in one. He is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. As Father, God rules over all things, is greater than all things, and loves sinful people by sending His one and only Son, Jesus, to die on the cross in our place. God becomes the Father of those who place their faith in Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that God is the perfect Father who lovingly adopts us into His family through faith in His Son. Because God is Father we can become a part of a new family that will last forever
In the Old Testament, God is called the “Father” of Israel. He loved, cared for, taught, and commanded obedience from His children (Deuteronomy 32:6; Malachi 1:6). Every child has a physical father, and if we are very blessed, we learn how to see God as our Father through the love and teaching of our earthly fathers. Just like our earthly fathers, God loves us, cares for our needs, teaches us, and corrects us so that when we grow up into adults, we will obey Him and bring blessings to others and ourselves.
In the New Testament when people prayed they called God abba (Romans 8:15), which is like saying “daddy” or “papa.” Jesus taught the disciples to pray, “Our Father” (Matthew 6:9–13) and it was a personal title that says that they had a relationship with God as their Father.
God created all people, but not all people are His children. Jesus said in order to be a child of God, one must be born again (John 3:3). Being born again means God saves us when we ask for forgiveness for our sins and believe in Jesus as our Savior. So, when we believe in Jesus, God is not just our creator; He is also our Father, and we are His beloved children.
Joy of Having God as a Father
God is our Father teaches us new things.
God is our Father, shows us deep affectionate love.
God is our Father shows us mercy and sympathy.
God as our father provides for our needs
God is our Father, he will accept all our devotion and service as good.
God is our Father, he will correct us in measure.
God as our Father, will ensure no evil one shall not prevail against us.
God is our Father, he will stand between us and danger.
God is our fortress and strong deliverer. He is our shield.
God is our Father, we shall not lack anything that he sees to be good for us.
God is our Father, all the promises of the Bible belong to us. Heb. 6:17
God is our Father, we will be conquerors.
God is our Father, he will now and then send us some token of his love.
God is our Father, he will indulge and spare us.
God is our Father, he will put honor and renown on us at the last day.
God is our Father, he will give us a good inheritance.
God is our Father, he will not disinherit us!
