Welcome to class. Today, we will be talking about things christian should do. Just take your time to follow the lesson.
- As children of God we must love God and obey his commandments
- We must honor and fear God in everything we do to other people
- We are to love everybody because God is love. This is so because as children of God people should see God’s nature in us
- Just like we obey God, we must also obey and respect our parents, school authorities, our teachers, our elders and all those that are in position of authority over us.
- We must also respect and obey the laws of the land made by the government.
- We must treat others just the way we want to be treated
- We must forgive one another
- We must be at peace with others especially with people who do not share our faith.
- Christians must read the bible – God’s words every day
- We must love and help one another.
Jesus was obedient to God phil. 2:6-11
If Jesus was obedient to the father’s will, as his followers we should do likewise.
Jesus loves his enemies – Luke 23:33-34
Jesus prayed for those who were crucifying him and on the cross where he has been punished to death. He prayed to the father to forgive them. We should cultivate the habit of forgiving one another when we are offended.
Ways to Show Obedience and Love to God, Our Parents and Nation
- We show obedience and love to God by following the commandments God gives to us to follow.
- We show obedience to our parents by doing only those things they ask us to do and not causing problems for them.
- We show obedience and love to our nation by being law abiding citizens of the nation.
