Welcome to class!
In today’s class, we’re going to be talking about deliverance of Israelites from Egyptian bondage. I trust you will enjoy the class!
Deliverance of Israelites from Egyptian Bondage
The story of the Israelites’ deliverance from Egypt is a tale of courage, faith, and miracles. It shows how the Israelites were freed from being slaves in Egypt and began their journey to the Promised Land.
The Pharaoh’s Refusal
Moses, chosen by God, went to the Pharaoh and asked him to let the Israelites go. But the Pharaoh said no. He didn’t want to lose his workers.
God’s Mighty Acts
To show His power and to help His people, God sent ten plagues upon Egypt. These plagues were very bad things like frogs, bugs, and darkness that happened to make the Pharaoh change his mind.
The Final Plague
The last plague was the saddest of all. God said that the firstborn son in every Egyptian family would die. But the Israelites were saved by marking their doors with lamb’s blood, which is known as the Passover.
Crossing the Red Sea
Finally, the Pharaoh let the Israelites go. But then he changed his mind and chased after them with his army! When the Israelites reached the Red Sea, they were trapped. But God performed a miracle: He parted the waters, and the Israelites walked through on dry land!
The Egyptians’ Defeat
When the Egyptian army tried to follow, the waters came back and they were washed away. The Israelites were free at last, and they sang and danced to thank God for their freedom.
Conclusion
The deliverance of the Israelites is a story of hope and faith. It teaches us that no matter how difficult a situation may seem, with faith and trust in God, there can be a way to overcome it.
