– Some of the common types of community leaders in Nigeria are:
– Traditional leaders: These are leaders who inherit their positions from their ancestors or are selected by the elders of their community based on the customs and traditions of their people. They are usually the heads of clans, families, or villages, and they have authority over their subjects. They are also the custodians of the culture and history of their people. Examples of traditional leaders in Nigeria are the Oba of Lagos, the Emir of Kano, the Eze of Onitsha, and the Oba of Benin.
– Religious leaders: These are leaders who are chosen by their followers based on their faith and devotion to their religion.
