Public Record of Jesus Power Over Natural Forces
Hello, young friends! Today, we’re going to talk about some incredible stories that show Jesus’ power over nature. These stories are not just exciting; they teach us about faith and the amazing things that can happen when we believe.
Jesus Calms the Storm
One day, Jesus and His disciples were in a boat on a big lake. Suddenly, a huge storm came up, with strong winds and big waves. The disciples were very scared, but Jesus was asleep. They woke Him up, saying, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”
Jesus stood up, looked at the wind and the waves, and said, “Quiet! Be still!” And guess what? The wind stopped, and the lake became calm. The disciples were amazed and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey Him!”
What We Learn:
– Jesus is powerful: He can control the wind and the waves.
– Jesus brings peace: When we’re scared, we can ask Jesus for help, and He can calm our fears.
The Great Catch of Fish
Another time, Jesus was by a lake, and people crowded around Him to hear Him speak. He saw two boats at the water’s edge, left there by fishermen who were washing their nets. Jesus got into one of the boats and asked Simon, its owner, to push out a little from shore. Then He sat down and taught the people from the boat.
When He finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Go out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” When they did, they caught so many fish that their nets began to break!
What We Learn:
– Jesus knows best: Even when we think something won’t work, Jesus knows how to bring success.
– Jesus provides: When we listen to Jesus, He can give us more than we can imagine.
Activity Time!
– Stormy Seas Craft: Make a paper boat and draw a scene of a stormy sea. Then, on the other side, draw a calm sea to show how Jesus calmed the storm.
– Fishy Fun: Draw a big net full of fish to remember the story of the great catch. You can even count the fish you drew!
