Importance of National Values
Values are those ideas which we, as members of society, have about what is right and what is wrong. A society without values will be chaotic and eventually get destroyed.
Generally, the values regarded as National Values are those values which we must possess as members of society. They include:
- Honesty
- Cooperation
- Self reliance
- Unity
- Tolerance
- Love
- Respect
- Peace
Importance of National Values
- It may help in decision making as it tends to make rational decisions based on the importance attached to a thing.
- Basic human values also promote positive or good relationships among people when they all accept such societal norms, attitudes or ways of doing things.
- National Values brings about unity, peace, harmony, co-operation, and so on.
- National Values help in creating norms to guide our day to day behaviour.
- A society with a good value structure makes people relate better with each other.
In summary, National Values keep a society decent, progressive, safe and attractive.
