In today’s Religious and National Values class, we will be talking about Types of Government
Types of Government
Before we talk about the types of government, let’s take a look at what a government is by defining it.
Government is the system whereby a group of people governing an organized community, often a state
Government is the body of people who control the public affairs of a nation at the federal, state, and local level.
Now, let’s take a look at the arms of the government.
Arms Of Government
The arms of government consists of the following:
- Legislature– A Legislature is the type of governance with the authority to make laws for a political or organization entity such as a country or city for example, Senators, House of representatives
- Executive– is the type of governance with the authority to implement laws by the legislature. For example, House of Assembly, Councilors
- Judiciary– is the governance with the authority to interpret laws made by the Legislature and implemented by the Executive. For example, The supreme court, and other federal courts.
The arms of government ensures that people get justice whenever they have a problem. It does this by establishing different courts, and employing lawyers and judges. When people have a problem with other people, they can go to court and get fair judgment.
