Keeping Neighborhood Safe and Clean
A clean community is a safe community. It is the responsibility of both the children, young and old, to ensure that their community is clean and safe.
Now, let’s define what safety involves when keeping a community clean.
Safety means keeping yourself and others free from harm.
Cleanliness is the act of being clean without dirt, dust, stains and bad smells.
Safety precautions taken when keeping your environment clean.
These are actions taken to ensure that we are protected from possible danger or injury, in the process of keeping our environment clean.
This include:
- Wearing safety boot
- Wearing helmet
- Fastening seat belt when in a car
- Wearing hand gloves
- Inspecting all tools and equipment before use
- Following safety symbols and signs
- Don’t work in the dark.
Ways of keeping the neighbourhood safe and clean
- Maintain clean drainage system
- Call the security and law enforcement incase of insecurity
- Keep your home and its surroundings clean
- Planting flowers and trees
- Avoid strangers
In summary, keeping the environment clean is a duty that is expected of everyone, irrespective of who they are.
And as a result of keeping the environment clean, we can be assured of a healthy environment.
